Description

The Starling (Sturnus vulgaris, Linnaeus 1758) is a passerine bird of the order. Morphological [edit] The transfer is about 20-23 cm long, has a wingspan of about 35-40 cm and weighs approximately 70-90 g. Its summer plumage is shiny black with violet and green with the tips of white feathers, while in winter the black becomes less bright and the reflections are reduced. The beak is pointed, yellowish in summer, brown in winter, the legs are reddish, short tails. The only character that differentiates the sexes is a stain on the base of the bill that is blue in males, reddish in females. There is also a variation of pink (pink transfer) is very rare and selected by man. Distribution and habitat The transfer is native of Eurasia and northern Africa, but was raised by humans in North America and Australia where, due to its adaptability, it was set perfectly. In Italy the first sightings of the transfer date to the late nineteenth century in Friuli and since then its growth has not suffered setbacks when you consider that according to some sources now wintering in Italy more than a million pairs. He lives in the countryside but also in towns and villages. During the summer, showing a preference for places to nest cavities. It was on the list of 100 most dangerous alien species in the world. http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturnus_vulgaris Good day and good week Thanks for the comments and the favourites of previous image.

A super capture of this little starling. His spots really stand out. Our starlings spots are more muted down here, and they are a darker colour.
