Just above the staircase to the garden. This is so beautiful, I am transfixed! There are so many elements that come together and play off of each other in a symphony of light, colors, and shape. I love the solid black curves of the lamp giving a strong contrast to the lines and glassy light of the icicles. The glow of the morning light is beautifully soft in the background and captured in stunningly clear highlights in the icicles. I love the mixture of the cold grays and blues of winter with the warm orange shades of the morning light. The patterns and colors captured in the ice are gorgeous and the composition perfect. This is one of my favorite images ever! Fantastic!
