Life in flux. So, I was looking with passionate interest for people who were interested in making realistic materials - called shaders - for Poser mesh. That interest had shifted to making dynamic cloth for Poser, but has since moved further afield: to Blender3D. And creating scenes in Poser for Cycles.
Exciting times!!
How can it be the best things in life are free? Blender 2.63a with Cycles is just the most amazing programme, evah! How can this be free? Well, what I'm typing in: Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu 12.04) is also free. Solid, stable, never any issues, finds new devices without me having to do anything... how can this be free?
These are exciting times indeed, and they don't cost money. They cost time and imagination and dedication and a desire to learn. And they are free.
Gotta love it!

gotta say, most impressive, wonderful character (beautiful), the pose and expression are superb and the lighting looks spot on (no pun intended). On the lighting, it is just right, slightly darker but of the same value as outside.top job !!

Wow, the lighting looks so good, her skin textures stand out very well. You've done quite an outstanding work, Robyn!

this is just priceless! the pose and expression perfectly express her incredulity. it's a skilled anti-pinup. the light looks very appropriate for an overcast day. i'm assuming you're talking about bagginsbill's IDL tutorial, which means this is incredible for your first IDL work. in my experiece, it's really difficult to do lighting without references. her skin looks very soft and smooth, which is _so difficult to do with without SSS to model the translucence of skin like that. but what really strikes me is the tone and message of the piece. great humor, expertly conveyed.

Pure sweetness Robyn! Love what you have done here!

Not bad at all, the lighting matches the background and the text gives the scene life and character, which is always a good thing. Personally i would recommend you to raise the contrast a bit, but - as you already indicated - maybe that's just because of the monitor... Anyways, well done.
