I see all kinds of creatures in these shadows....number 4 is certainly some kind of dragon. You find very interesting things in your walks, Harry.

What wonderful shapes these make! Very well seen, Harry, I love these!

3 and 5 are outstanding! They fairly jump off the page at me. Cool idea, and excellent work!

I like the last one the best, it looks like its shadow is smiling. :) Great work!

You have quite a collection of leaves and their shadows here. It is great to see the different forms.

The leaves make different types of shadows. #3 is my fav in this group. Great shot - looks like a long neck bug. Dana

It's fun to see what people favor & see...lots of variety here. This group seems to have more intense light, esp in the first two where the leaves almost appear to be on fire. (Love that light.) And the shadows are wonderfully varied, from dance-like grace to an almost long necked mammal in the 3d, to a wonderful final image in a simple crescent-shape at the bottom (which is nicely contrasted, btw, with the bulbous shape of the leaf). You know, when you did an abstract for me a ways back (for my birthday), I thought you had a natural eye for abstraction, even though you did real life photography. The more I've been here the more I feel it, even in your pageant & processional pieces (the civil war pieces show the rhythm & speech of form & hue as well as resonance with the actual people & events). This is a perfect example. These couldn't be more concrete if you tried---the leaves are beautifully clear "sentences"---yet you're exploring the inner language as well. (Form, light, hue, etc.) Beautiful group. Love how you explore the 'atoms' of our experience. Edward Weston did whole series of green peppers (just green peppers), exploring their furrows & shade, etc. You're right inside a grand tradition.
