UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Decided to stick your neck out a little, Bill? LOL! This is excellent! Great colors, and symmetry, and such handsome fellows! So how many carrots did it take to bribe those giraffes to pose so symmetrically? LOL!

I love these creatures...they're cute and they have such long eyelashes too! This is elegant and really captivating. Fantastic. I could spend whole days photographing these people. They probably wouldn't mind either! This is marvelous!

Hmmm, they must have been born identical twins, because they're both sporting the same skin patterns and textures, Bill. Do I detect a bit of reverse flop-a-roo postwork here? If so, a most remarkable job, especially with the lighting and shadow effects.

lol on the title, and a beautiful capture...not just for the wonderful criss-cross of the giraffes, but for your splendid lighting & hues. Such splendid light, the hues on the giraffes are rich & beautiful, and the extreme contrast of light/dark on the tree to the right is equally beautiful. I also like your crop, how you cropped it at the lower neck of the animals, as if the necks were some exotic plants growing out of mounds at the bottom of the frame. And yeah, how did you get them in just that configuration! A wonderful giraffe-like configuration...after a year of photographing animals, I can appreciate a shot like this all the more. Very fine work all around, Bill, and the light & hues are beautiful. (Should I do the only other giraffe joke I know? I didn't write this, ok...Why don't giraffes live in New York? The giraffic is terrible.) (traffic??? boy when you gotta explain it...)

What a wonderful image! You did an awesome job on this. It isn't often a title inspires the art, but this turned out great! Good stuff, Hon! :*

I had to read the title twice... I have spent the last 10 minutes studying this and I must say that you are a master! Given all the rain we had last night, not quite the image I wanted to see, Noah! A testament to you giraffic skills, Clive

Lovely capture, it looks so sunny & bright!!!

How beautiful! Every time I've been to the zoo the giraffes were far far away from view, doing what wild animals do, trying to get away from all the noisy humans. Can't blame them for that, I do it myself. This capture is brilliant!

I wonder if they have a finger print pattern like that tells them apart? Beautiful animals. Aloha

Aww...I always think of my 1st Grade teacher Mrs. Tozier when I see giraffes. She LOVED them and had them on pretty much anything she could find at the time. Wonderful Bill! Nice title:-)
