Description

The Agalychnis Callidryas is native to southern Mexico, Central America and northern Colombia. It lives in lowland neotropical rain forests near rivers and ponds. They are small. This one is less than an inch long. He would not hold still for long, but I think he is 20mm. They are not endangered. Also, they are an easy frog to keep as a "pet". They stay crunchy, even in milk, but prefer regular water to swim in. This frog is naked, so you have been warned! I'd like to thank No Limit Exotic Pets and Rescue of Portland, Oregon for allowing me to pester them for even more photos.

Nice macro shot! He reminds me of the tree frogs in Florida - they used to "sing" to let us know it was about to rain!

Oh, he is a beauty! I love frogs - had a tree frog as a pet for a bit. I'd love to get some of the poison arrow ones, they are so pretty! This one is so tiny, like a fairy frog. :)
