This is indeed a fortuitous event! If you happen to be on Eadon, and you are standing on the exact hilltop that aligns with the Golden Band and the Moon when the Wandering Star passes, and you see the exact moment of alignment, in essence becoming part of the alignment .. the moon, the unknown star, the Golden Band, and you .. there is a flow of positive energy that passes through the Golden Band and into you, the beholder. It is said to infuse you, the beholder, for all of your alloted days with good fortune.
It is not known if this is myth, or truth. It is known that the Tower topped by the Golden Band exists, but it's location and purpose is lost, as is the location of the small planet Eadon. There are two old pictures, well preserved, and this is a copy of one.
The wandering star is believed to be an unusually large comet.
The planet Eadon's surface and the sky are both bpc-bd's gnarl scripts, the silver tower is etomchek's Ukrainian Christmas Tree script, and the rest are raw flames. All were tweaked in Apo, assembled and sig and frame added in PSP X2.

Bathroom update: it is finished .. but still no shower door. We ordered it, and it should be here. Good thing there is another shower or we'd be taking frequent trips to my daughter's house, LOL!
Temps here have dropped, the snow has come, and it looks like winter is here.

As winter has hit us all early, this is really a solstice-like image, for the light in the midst of a dark universe. The statue-like central structure is like a great gate or guardian to the world behind, and the fractal 'crowns' (in gold) are a beautiful laurel diadem, whose purpose may be lost (as you say) but whose presence speaks a beauty of its own. And behind, you have a wonderful mix of gases & liquids in beautiful swirls (with beautiful hues mixed in); and that fiery line along the horizon. Very finely done. And the sky has subtle circles upon circles, maybe lights intersecting, maybe lens flare from your fractal camera, maybe just auras. A beautiful fractal, and another fine image for a friend, along with one more of your wonderful storylines that are as real as any of ours---You know, I know all these names, I've been on RR for over 2 years, and these names are all familiar to me. But being in 2D & photography, I don't know their work. After seeing your dedis I want to visit them... Always wonderful to come back to your gallery, sorry that this time you were in the 'late' bunch rather than the early, but late or early it's always magical. And please know that whatever I don't comment on, I've still seen; and it's all a great delight. If I don't cross this path again in the next 2 weeks, I wish you & your loved ones a wonderful holiday & new year. Much light & peace your way, as always!
