This is so cool Tara! I love the motion of the train - really great job - I love how the color of the gravel/dirt on the left hand side of the train and the trees on the right hand side of the train are so dull in color - it really makes the color of the train and the motion jump out at you :)

Well done, you've captured the rarely seen Renderositus Photographicus in his natural habitat. The train is great too.

For a second I thought it might be the famous Number-8 train, but if it is, it's way the heck ahead of schedule, and it doesn't look like the wheels have been changed, not that it's moving slow enough to gauge wheel status. Okay, and now having said that, and going "ooh and aah" and all of that, I must say "ooh and aah" some more. This is really fantastic. I love the intensity of the warm colors, that red/orange/yellow in contrast with the grays that seem to dominate, and then the crisp blue that also just happens to be a marvelous bit of Human focus. I've been on this "self-reference" kick for a while: I guess all of those readings of a book called "Metamagical Themas" really sunk in, and so whenever I see anything that could be even vaguely self-referential, I get all mushy and sentimental inside...kinda like the way some people do with old movies with guys in zoot suits or something. Anyway, a great photograph with a photographer in it is so deliciously self-referential and FUN. I love this, and the curve of the train, coupled with its motion makes this quite sensual. This is a great shot!

That's something you don't want to see if your car is stuck on the tracks. ;) Excellent capture!
