My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Gorgeous shot! I love how the peachy color sky draws your eye into the image. I felt like I was kind of in a tunnel (but in good way) with the color of the sky and the color of the water but at the same time an awesome sense of space. Really well done - would love to hear about the pilings!

very very beautiful,excellent photo

What a beautiful shot. I can almost hear the rippling of the water over the rocks. Now, get off the computer and start reading to us so we can know the history of the wreck and pilings, too.

Mystery. Beautiful composition and colors. Can't wait for the library to email us and say your book is on hold ready for pickup. Of course a mystery is no longer a mystery when the facts are revealed:) Outstanding postwork.

I am in no doubt, you could read a Grocery list and it would be interesting.I too would be interested to know about the pilings. There are some in the Mersey at low tide, a place called Monks Ferry, they're older then the church tower from the other week.History is great....but then so is a bit of mystery.

A beautiful capture and you nearly got your feet wet. I bet the piles will tell you a very interesting tale.

I'd like to be here!

Lighting and textural effects beyond fabulous! The descriptive information on the locality is vital, so I care. Magnificent image by exactly the same model camera I now have.

Beautiful photo, Tara! Excellent composition, and a wonderful mood. I can feel the breeze and hear the water. It is quite interesting to find mysteries like those pilings. Of course, now you're going to have to read to us all at bedime!

Like any good native you tell us so that we might visit these points of interest if we ever find ourselves in the area. This image, for example, is very dramatic. The sky is full of the promise of rain and the pilings look like acient monuments left by a vanished civilization. Wonderful mood and atmosphere.

Beautiful shot. I enjoy your descriptions, but I do think reading the book to us might be excessive. Some might even call it piling on.
