Description
I've been playing again. This began life as a rather third rate shot of Meadowsweet seedheads - a sort of 'shall I, shan't I bother with it' type thing. I had seen others' images of these, and they were something to behold. Just beautiful. So I thought - as ya do - I can do that! Only I can't! So in the end I decided to go searching in my knicker drawer for a filter to lift it to greater heights, and this is what I came up with - or down with - depending on your point of view!
I rather like the outcome - it's sort of spidery webby - if you get my drift - and everyone knows of my love for the eight leggy people!
Now I'm off to sneakily put some food down for my blackbirds - starlings roost in the meadow at this time of year, knowing there is a food source (moi!), close at hand, and my resident blackbirds have a job to compete. So I bide my time, and as soon as the starlings leave, out goes a second breakfast for the blackbirds - somewhat like Hobbits - only without the hairy feet - the birds, not me...although.... ^+^
Thank you for taking the time to look. ^=^

WOW! This is quite amazingly gorgeous, if you ask me. I love everything about this, but particularly the color and the splashes of light and dark: the whole thin is nicely dynamic like that. The dark bits are what draw me in and the lighter bits that DO recall those spider-web thingies have a wonderful texture that makes my eye wander all around this shot. I like it immensely. HA...and your bird feeding adventures sound rather nice. We have starlings, and grackles here in Chicago and I have to say that I rather like them...we have blackbirds too, redwinged blackbirds, but they live in more open areas far away from my part of the city.

I need to learn to recognise meadowsweet, supposed to be very good for the stomach (salicilic acid?). Anyhow, fascinating shot.
