Description
Alas, no ordinary water could vanquish the black flames that consumed my eyes, but only the water of hope. Truly, the wind had blown me in the only direction I could go, and I came upon the one true dream that would only be real, exactly where I wanted it to be. The darker voids may still be there, but I no longer have to stare into them, for I know them to be only empty. No, my old friend, the eye of light speaks to me again, deep from the center of my mind. I cry with all the beauty of the earth, hidden behind reality. If I were to make my home in the snow and live like the field mouse, I would still climb those trees and reach out to the sky, and still be surprised that it is just beyond my reach. But it's what we find in that journey upwards that makes it worth the climb.

In a violent fervor yesterday I installed blogging software on my website because all too often ideas multi-thread their ways through my mind, and I start one project before I'm finished with the other. As much as I detest the mindlessness and garbage that blogs have caused the Internet, in these days of instant gratification I cannot simply wait to share my thoughts with the world sometimes. So much so that I even configured my blog so that I could quickly publish from my cell phone and email. So if you are so obliged to listen, drop by on occasion at http://chip.van-dan.com and tell your friends to drop by, for I am terrible at self-promotion, as this little blurb so clearly contradicts.
I have a feeling that the things published there will often chronologically align with things published here.

Journeys are always worth the climb...nothing easy comes free, after all. It took me a hot minute to get to this, but I'm glad I saw it and as I'm reading this in the wee hours of Christmas Day, I want to wish you a warm, safe and happy holiday. Oh, and I like the way your thoughts flow and how they might braid and rebraid around one another as the spring forth from your mind. It's a wonderful thing to experience, in my opinion, and nice to read as well...
