I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

Even if you re-used previously viewed ships design, this pic is great, especially the background!

Nicely done! Don't sweat it--I'm trying to get as much done as possible for work (Contract is not being extended on 12/31/2010, so I'm job hunting again) and try to get the creative juices flowing again at the same time.

Mike, your ships and space scenes are without equal. I don't care how many times you 're-use' these ships, they're still magnificent! If they ever decide to bring back Battlestar Galactica, you should submit these as some kind of new Cylon ship design. Amazing work, my friend!

Great looking scene! Poking around where you don't belong, you may get a nasty surprise. No problem re-using ships. One of my issues is that I'll speed tens of hours working on a model and only use it once.

You don't have to apologize for using the same models. I do it a lot; so do a lot of people. I'd call this one, "Rust-Buckets in Space." Heh!

Well your muse hasn't left you and that's for sure ... when zoomed-in this takes on a different vision altogether and is spectacular, something about these spaceships is reminiscent of the 'Fleur De Lys' crest and design, don't you think so too ? well done, BB

What's wrong with using (or seeing) old faves again?! I like it!

Hmmm...somebody looks a wee bit miffed? Do ancient guardians get miffed? Or is this just...oh, I don't know...an ancient guardian social dance? At any rate, it's an amazing scene and I love the title. As always, your backgrounds work amazingly well in your visual settings and I rather like the fact that the vessels are smaller this time, giving a sense of scale to an already brilliant work. I know these are whoppers (or at least mid-sized whoppers) but seeing them from this vantage point and from this distance really puts them in a more galactic perspective. They may be whoppers, they may be deadly, and yeah, there may even be a lot of them, but in the grand scheme of things, the galaxy is still a HUGE and and sometimes spooky place. You really convey that, and though you say your muse is on a coffee break, I suspect that you've got quite a lot of oomph remaining in this dry spell. If MY dry spells were as productive as this, I'd be happy. This is marvelous work and of course, I would love to see more from this universe.

Have to agree with all the above, just amazing work.
