Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

NICE shot, beachzz! (I'll bet some lady tries to buy that and take it home, along with the other dozen or so pairs she'll tell her hubby "They Were ON SALE". GRINS).

My word. It's a whole different world, isn't it? Did you find any flip-flops with little twinkle lights in them?

oh yeah, I shop there all the time, lol. Next time you're there, ask for "Mark"...The truly 'right' capture of this place: The shadow & intimate lighting make it feel vedddy exclusive, with those mannequins standing in darkness & that wild "sash" of christmas lights (in the shape of a high heel!). It's sleek & garish at the same time---very Vegas! You have a great eye for light, Marilyn, and you get poetry even from hotel lobbies in Sin City! Really truthful capture, and reflective too (inwardly reflective). A very enticing capture. Look like it's after hours...

WOW! WOW! This is really amazing...it kinda makes me think that someone who attends the Diva Brunch in one of Corey's recent pictures would actually wear that shoe, and actually get away with it. But all of that aside, this is a fantastic, festive capture. I love the whole composition: the way you've seen and presented this...you went, you saw, you photgraphed. I'd say that in Latin, but I have no idea how, but you get the point. I really like this! And I'm still giggling at Mark's comment.

I didn't see it at first! That is one big shoe. Wonderful capture. Dana
