This is the second in my light ray series, based on tutorials by AsileFx from C3D. Yesterday was the first opportunity I've had in over two weeks to surface briefly for air - finishing off numerous projects while preparing for a new job starting in January - I'm going back into the teaching full time. Exciting, but also daunting...

Though there are other images here that I want to catch up one, I'm doing one per gallery today to give my wishes for the holiday; I'll be back for more after the holiday. It's a pleasure to send wishes to you for this year's holiday & new year, esp as you're returning to teaching after the first! Re the image, I have never commented on linda's work, but have always much appreciated both her art & her very articulate & heartfelt words, even in her comments. And this is a beautiful image for her. You've painted daybreak by painting a huge looming forest with only a piece of sky at the top---making the daybreak dramatic and 'entering', like a long awaited guest who finally showed up shining. The light is beautiful as is the looming forest which seems deep & thick (fine detailing inside). I'll use this image to wish you & your loved ones a beautiful holiday, and a great new year ahead with lots of light and inspiration in the coming year. And much thanks for your always illumined gallery and your wonderful support & comments, to me & to everyone else you touch here.
