The title may seem strange to those that did not see the post "Leaving the sea of sand", seen here thumb_2145026.jpg

"Leaving the sea of sand"


That only explains the title, and now for the brief explanation of the sandstone formations seen here. One could only see the very tops of these from the last post, "Contours", here you can see them whole and get a perspective of the Title. :) One things for sure! This is a whole lot easier to trek than sand dunes, and more sand dunes ever gaining in elevation, whew! To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! I've never treked this terrain but I spent two years living in the Mojave Desert. Nautical references really fit. Amazing country beautifully photographed.
