Description
I evaluated the last image and thought, "hmm, something just doesn't look right" but I couldn't put my finger to it, so I looked at "outside" photos for comparisons. Shadows, they were "stark" and too dark for this render. I used a bought, preset light and remembered how the shadows were just dark and hard but I forgot about it when I did this render lol. So I fixed it up and re-rendered. I also added occlusion to the hair (UberHair was applied and it takes away the occlusion effect) and now it meets my standard.
I also re-positioned her right foot to be more viewable.
Thinking about this, I re-evaluated my promos for Sabrina and sighed relief that everything still looks great, no hard/dark shadows there :) (still waiting for Rendo to test though)
This goes to show you, though, the shaders for the character can be the best on the market, but it can still look bad on people's renders if they don't know how to set lights up. A good render consists not only great DS or Poser mats, and not only great lights, and not only great setup and all that, it requires skills in ALL aspect of the scene. There is no such thing as "make art" buttons.
Well, I guess, I hear Rendo's busy so it's gonna take time for them to get to Sabrina. Just hope my internet doesn't get shut off, had to promise them money if they gave me two weeks... *sighs*
