UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Well seen Bill. It's amazing how the sea polishes things so well isn't it! Broken glass is another thing that also ends up wonderfully smooth, maybe in it's quest to return to it's original form!

Looks like a warthog at the water hole to me. You've caught some really nice texture in this Bill.

OMG, at first glance I thought this was a group of sharks in a feeding frenzy, lol! In fact, the one at the upper right seems to have eyes and gills. In any event, stellar lighting and textural effects in this photo, Bill.

Now, that is totally cool, Bill! Love the tiny 'lake' in the middle of this small scale landscape! Monochrom is a perfect choice for this, too! Excellent work, my friend!

Excellent close-up capture, beautiful fine textures! :)

I always wonder how long a log like this has been in the water and how far did it travel. Wonderful shot Bill and just look at the textures, in zoom mode, of this bark less piece of tree. Dana

I'm just doing one per gallery today, to wish everyone a wonderful holiday, but I'll be back for more afterwards. I haven't said anything about this image to you even privately, and since it was a solstice image, I decided to choose this for today. It's beautiful, bill. Undulant, varying from inch to inch in texture and light & shade, varying in focus, and the water in the center is the perfect divider. It almost looks like a model of a huge canyon; it has that scale. Fine choice of image, showing that 'the picture' is right in front of us if we only look. I wish you a wonderful holiday, hopefully with at least one day free of decoration & moving, etc. And a warm & loving one too. And great gratitude for this beautiful gallery filled with your deep thought & heart in equal measure, and devotion throughout. And you know how appreciative I am for your support & inspiration for my work. It's been invaluable. Have a great holiday, rest & enjoy, you & tara both!

That is quite an interesting shot. I was a bit confused at the first viewing but it is really beautiful.
