Description

A few blocks from home. (Really better full-size.) * * *
Just thought I'd break from the usual landscapes & show a reeeeeeally happy dog. Don't know if he knows it's a 'holiday', but I seriously doubt he cares. This, ladies & gentlemen, is a good hair day.
Just got through half your galleries I should finish on Wednesday... Have a wonderful day! Mark

Fantastic portrait of a self-contained, living, breathing, snoring landscape! I love it!

That doggie needs someone to sit down next to him and give him a good scratch-n-pet! What a sweetie. I'm SO glad you posted this! It's a most excellent portrait of your neighbor.

He does look nice and comfy--that's obviously HIS porch!! Is that an old pumpkin I see in the background--or maybe you took this before all the Christmas lights went up!!

LOL! This is such a cute portrait of an Old English Shipdog. I guess he is very comfortable in this cold weather with all that HAIR. I remember our late Cocker Spaniel, when he came out of the snow with bells of snow hanging in his legs.. I guess this dog will not be so happy about the snow hanging around his legs like big snow balls. Our dog could barely walk at last LOL! But this is such a lovely shot and the dog looks so calm and safe :-)

Mark, this is such a wonderful photo and started my day off with the biggest smile imaginable :) Your so right about how happy this fluffy dog seems to be. It really is a heart warming image and makes me wish all cats and dogs could be this content and safe.

Wonderful capture of this door guard! My parents used to have a dog just like this; he was called Barney, and my dad still misses him.

I agree, this really is a good hair day. He looks totally relaxed like a lot of us should be at this time of the year but aren't. A super capture.

Terrific capture of the happy pooch, looking more like a big toy than a canine, snoozing placidly in the arms of Morpheus, Mark. If it could only see through that mop, then it would be more than happy, and a complete sentient life form.

When you have a dog and walk it regularly, you get to meet all kinds of other dogs and their people. One of them was Oliver, who owned Herb, the gentleman who pays the mortgage and buys the food and generally kept Oliver a happy pup. Well, Oliver left us in October. He was a handsome gentle boy, and is greatly missed. Herb would love this picture. It not only looks like Oliver but it's is something Oliver used to do, towards the last year when walking became a bit more difficult for him. He liked to lay in the driveway and watch teh world go by. A wonderful shot, bringing back some terrific memories of wonderful dog.

Before I comment intelligently, I have to get something out of my system. "AWWW! HE'S SO CUTE!" Okay, now I can continue. This brings me a smile every time I look at it. What a face! What a body! What sheer joy of sleep! What a cute nose! Beautiful capture. Lovely composition, POV, and color. I like the line of the banister, and the POV being level with the top of the stairs. I like all the blue gray color around him, and the bits of orange red in the bricks and the pumpkin(?). You started off with a superb model and skillfully showed him to the best advantage with wonderful composition and POV, and an excellent capture. Very cute dog and superb image!
