I see the little sci-fi robot is being held down by a pipe! Well done on finding the mirror! Clive

Gosh! Out of chaos comes beauty (we hope) Such an interesting shot..somehow the image in the mirror reduces the stress of disorder by containing it in its frame.

Now, if you could just have the mirror in the same place when the jobs finished, that could give an interesting contrast shot.

Reminds me of my house right now. I spent 3 weeks "shoveling it out" and polishing everything for the holidays. Then I guess I inspired my daughter and grandson because they started cleaning their rooms, only they ended up pulling everything out of their rooms and stacking it in the living room. Not too bad really, except they got distracted and a week later, its still all piled in the middle of the floor where they left it. sigh... I told them all I wanted for Christmas was a clear path to the Christmas tree. LOL

Having seen my fair share of houses under construction this looks familiar. It is amazing how different things look when finished and how well the carpenters cover/clean up.

An environment, not dirty, just extremely messy, as indicated in this photo of Trent's jobsite undergoing massive renovation. A veritable riot of angles and geometric objects on display.

only doing one image per, today, and it wasn't easy to pick one (at least you know how I feel about most of the others through letters). This is one of your real abstracts out of life, a real 'still life' made of the random leavings of a job, and the composition you caught as well as the light would be a first rate painting or collage if it weren't that it's a photo. And I agree about the mirror, it's a great focal point & changes the whole image. And you've softened it so that the angles & juxtapositions are melded into a kind of dream. Beautiful work...you're one of the few artists I know who would make this angular jutting scene into a dream. Beautifully done. Well, a wonderful holiday to you & bill, and hope it's peaceful too. (Ie, not like a demolition & redecoration, which is what you've been through. Hope you have a break from that!)

Love this! There is a still life painting in every aspect of your image. The mirror as your focal point took me a long while to figure out if not for the help of Mark's comment, I don't think I would have! Love the way you have captured the light - very impressive

I couldn't think of anyone else coming up with a photo like this of a demolotion Tara. Fantastic. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

You know, when I see the titles to your uploads in my e-bots, I always try to imagine what it will look like. It's always fun, and always a surprise. And I'm always treated to a delightful image - this is no different. I'm in awe of your talent for making something as ubiquitous as a remodeling project into a piece of art. Kudos to you, Tara! I'm sure my dad envisioned the inside of our house looking like this back many years ago when my little buddies and I used to try to build rockets in the basement. LOL!

A gorgeously artistic mess...turning this into an RR upload never occured to me:) But then, you approach these things with the right attitude...instead of seeing unusable chaos, you see fascination. You don't say, Ugh! You say, look at the angles, the light, the reflections, the shapes...and that's what you get. Goes to show that a photographer needs a proper mindset to see what is really there and then to place just the right parts within the frame... This is a perfect way to make that point. Wow...I am beginning to get it:*

You and mirrors! I'll always be fascinated by that! There's so much here...and the mirror is such a focal point, not necessarily as an object of focus, but...well...as a doorway...as a motionless reflecting pool. And well...I can't help but think there might be a minnow in there somewhere. I really love the way the mirror actually allows a form of order to emerge. Chaos and order are always so intimately linked and I think that our reality is that thin little tension boundary between the two and this image really captures that perfectly. We see chaos, we see infrastructure, we see something that isn't "what we want" but within it lies the seed of something glorious. Demolition and reflections really bring that out to the forefront. WOW! This is incredibly well seen. Marvelous.
