Venus 2813AD (Mars vs. Venus)"
What do I do?  I write and I love art.  I love to read fantasy and science fiction, especially if there are dark creatures and lots of romance thrown in.ÂÂ
About 2 and a half years ago I started doing 3D art after a lifetime of fooling around with traditional media like pastel and pencil and watercolor.  I love this medium - Poser and what can be done with it, and also mixing poser with digital painting.  I enjoy painting skies and cloth and hair for the most part and adding magical effects in post work. ÂÂ
Now I'm learning how to model and texture, too and am finding it quite addicting to practice.  I hope that I can become as at ease with that process as rendering.
I hope you enjoy my gallery! Delaney Anne Grant

Xcellent work!!!!

This is fantastic. It's really worth zooming in to see all the small details. This reminds me of a softer version of some of Boris Valejo's work. ^^

I agree with Angel (savage_dragon), this will really make you jump as it has the "WOW factor." If she spilled her coffee, I almost fell of my chair when I saw it. I also need to pick up my jaw from the floor. I like how you added your own touch with this work, that is something I always wanted to see, you made it your own. Bravo-Zulu to a job well done!

Splendid action scene!

~Both scenes are exceptionally well done and original! I am sitting here thinking...I couldn't do something like this, even if I knew how! I really like your storyline too...the picture and the story really compliment each other well! Nicely done!~

amazing work!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my, until I read how you did this I assumed the frame was an "expansion" of Jenny's image and not something that you had created. Looking at the ground rocks I see how they are different. I really like how you created this, it is really striking and it gave me some pause to figure out how it could be done. I always love creative framing and this is super - it really makes the image. This is the best work I have seen of the Venus 2813 sets.

Well, this is just an amazing piece of artwork - frankly, it rocks! I love the very creative framing on this - you've done a magnificent job with Jenny and Chuck's awesome package! You knocked my eyes right out of my head with this one! Pardon me while I pick them up off the floor! ;-D Happy Holidays, Delaney!

Beautiful work!!!
DrCarl
beautiful usage of framing that gives the image action movement and depth...a wonderful colour scheme as well the scale of her weapon is a little lost with the background shapes competing for your attention...either move or remove those elements and the shape and size of her gun would be clearer....it kind of blends in with the scenery. hey I am really nit picking here D as this is a damn fine image...one of your best of late merry xmas and well done mate Carl

Thank you all for taking time to comment on this one. I learned so much when I was doing it. Really so much! I reworked this piece after Carl's observation about the shapes of the spires breaking up the line of the gun. I have to say, much, much happier with it since doing that. Lots of clone brush, painting and a light mist over the top of the new deadwood shape behind the figure and it doesn't mess up the line of the gun now. May need a tiny dragon up in that corner now. Not sure. Thank you Carl, for nitpicking and making me work a bit harder .. it's all worth it! Merry Christmas! Delaney

Oh dear... this render totally blows me away! What a marvelous scene! Love those colors, they add that right "nor from this world" feeling... Fantastic posing on the figures, and I especially like the brilliant way of framing the scene, while the heroine jumps out of the render... I'm speechless, it's such a fabulous work! :) Vashek

The framing is really intriguing, have to try something like that sometime. Expect an email from me if I can't work out how to do it ;-)
