Description

...some things to forget)) At the end of every year we all have something to forget and something to remember. Alas both may accompany us against our will and both may help us not to step on the very same rake (but on a new one:-). P.S. A couple of dilapidated houses are being knocked down to let in a new downtown elite apartment building. It snowed the first time this season.. symbolic? Symbolic is everything Thank you for walking the same way with me. A Happy New 2011 to you all, my dear friends. Nikolay

Out with the old - in with the new, they call it progress ... but for us Humans, there is only one beginning and one end, or so it seems ? we could end up as space-dust and then there will never be an end just an endless universal cycle! ... and so are Snowflakes, also symbolic and could be called tears - watching the old being torn down, maybe that is what the old man is experiencing as well ? Thank you for your inspirational work, Nikolay and ~Happy New Year 2011~ BB

Fantastic Nikolay! I LOVE the symbolism of the image! The figure seem to contemplate what to take with him and what to leave behind into the new year! Wonderful work as always! Wishing you and yours a wonderful 2011!

WOW! This is one of the first images I've seen in 2011 and it's incredible. There is a sense of mystery to it, as you do so well. You capture scenes so well and all of them seem to tell distinct stories, though sometimes, the context is left up to the viewer. This, to me, makes them all the more emotional, and this lovely shot is no exception. This is quite a stunning piece of work, and as always, incredibly elegant...visually poetic, and quite simply, grabbing. Wonderful, and I hope that 2011 is a great year for you!

The man viewing, observing, deciding ... really makes the shot. Excellent image! Happy New Year, my friend. I hope 2011 is a great year!

Thought provoking words & image, the man getting out of the JCB looks almost apologetic, and the snow really adds to the mood.
