What a WONDERFUL image, Nikolay! I just adore it! I still have my mums 1938 Singer which I learned to use when I was 5.

I have also learned the old trade on a 'Singer' ... and this certainly brings back lovely memories for me, namely the warm feeling of having had an Oma around (Grandmother)! An iconic treasure Nikolay - given the right treatment indeed. BB

I love the way you chose to depict that legendary machine: your drawing has something pretty tribal in its tones and shapes and I have to admit I admire the result very much.:)

Oh gosh yes, I remember this machine well! Your image brings back such lovely memories. My great-grandmother had a treadle Singer, and I can hear the sound now, just looking at this. The composition of this piece is SO pleasing! The addition of that simple piece of cloth hanging on the line is absolutely elegant in that respect ... I must remember it! Your seamstress is delightful. Full marks from me on this one, my friend! This is right up there with your best work.
