Description

..someone has to clean up all that fairy dust and sparkles;) Leroy head morph (mine) on M4, view out the window is mine from a cover I did for Edge/Tesseract books (Avim's oath, which was subsequently pshopped by the publisher >_< ) Well, I got paid. Happy 2011! It's already a year of changes for me--I'll be moving from Jersey to Chicago after living here longer than anyplace I had before (almost 20 years). So like Leroy I'm mopping up and throwing out stuff (everything has to fit in a 10x10 space). Quite a change for someone who never throws away a 3d magazine or scrap of fabric or useful bit of wire! (I actually have a model tide pool, and a time machine that I have to decide what to do with; two "30 lb pull" conventional archery bows, a couple suits of armor, and three sewing machines and a drill press, and 10 big chunks of oak log to still deal with. I've already tossed the rubber alligator, the skeleton and the 200 Barbies.

Best wishes on your move! Oh man, when I read you tossed 200 Barbies I wanted to cry! I collect Barbies and I would have been more than happy to take them off your hands! Those that were 'ordinary' Barbies are greatly welcomed by homeless shelters, children's hospitals and other places. I know what you mean about having to get rid of stuff. My hubby and I have lived in the same place for 23 years (longest for me!) and if we had to move it would be a major undertaking sorting through stuff! Love this image! Love a guy, like my sweet hubby mrestey who helps out around the house.

Well, you did an outstanding job on this! Excellent work with Leroy, although I don't think he relishes the mopping up end of the deal... Dang - a 10 X 10 space?? I would go stark-raving mad within the first 15 minutes. But then I've gathered enough junk to fill up a medium-sized airplane hanger - I'm such an incurable packrat... Best of luck with the move - that's always a gut-wrenching experience! 200 Barbies?? I'm not even going to ask.... But don't be surprised if you see a nice lady from NH digging through your dumpster... LOL!

That's funny! He looks good mopping up. Nice morph too. Good luck with your move, sounds painful. And you have the most interesting "junk" I've ever heard of. Rubber alligator? Ha ha!

Oh poor Leroy-ella! There he is having to clean up after everyone else. I hope he walks through that fairy dust and absorbs it through his bare feet. He'll show them all then! Don't throw stuff away, just get a bigger storage compartment!! That rubber alligator must be saved!!!

Leroy is crazy to be doing that job barefoot, doesn't he know all those sparllies come with very sharp edges. Guess he'll be finding out soon enough. Love the way the mop pail is glowing. Oh I hope that wasn't a literal toss on the Barbie's ...so many little girls would be so happy to have had one of them. I've been in my home for some 20 years now and whenever I go into the basement I think, God this is gonna be hell when I move. I knuckled up and had a jumk removal company empty my garage last year; just walked away and let them clear everything that wasn't tied down. Few regrets and a few mistakes but I got my space back.

Just to reassure everyone, the Barbies went to the Goodwill (which is where they came from, along with yard sales. I originally bought them for a History of Costume timeline). I admit that I am keeping the "Luke Skywalker on Hoth" doll that I found.

I love the glowy bits in the bucket! Man, that reminds me of working at Chuck E Cheeses waaaaay back when. I'm getting better I'm happy to say. I no longer shriek and collapse when I see children, though I throw up at the site of skeeball machines. I've tossed out so many things it's sick. I live in an 8x10 foot space and I can barely move even though I have no stuff. A suit of armor? Alligator???? Aw man, the fun you could have with those two, combined with a window...

LOL I hope that fabiana sees this. Wonderful job, image and idea :) I hope you're moving with a 10x10 truck rather than moving to a 10x10 space lol Happy New Year!

Nice work... Especially the shine of the winter-light though the iced window. And also nice the handling of the mop. May i borrow him for cleaning my rooms? Seems that your Leroy is much better in this as i'm... ---------------- Best wishes for your move. And that this step will bring you only nice experiences.

Beautiful image, I can only image where that room must be to have such a view. I'll have the time machine as long as it has space time warp and isn't just one of the linear ones. :-)

Oh dear.... I'm glad I'm not in your shoes, Lynn! I have moved several times, and it has always been a struggle what to take with and what to throw away... But on the other hand, it's the right opportunity to "clean the attic" and start from scratch. I wish you all the luck with all the preparations and especially with the move itself! And Happy New Year to you and to yours!!! Hugs, Vashek
