Description
Part of the experience of living in south Florida is living in a gated community. Sometimes the community is made up of single homes, duplexes or a combination of both. These are called homeowners associations. Sometimes the community is a group of condos or condominiums. Some condo associations can be 20 or 30 stories high with 10 to 20 condos on each floor. The main gate is an eye catcher and even more so at night. This is one of the gates to the Villa Borghese homeowners association complex. The building behind the palms is the entrance gate. Residents have clickers that will open the gate and visitors are stopped to see if they are on the approved list of visitors for that day. Some entrances are very elaborate with lit up palms and massive fountains. My first attempt at a night shot and sorry about the wires.

Those wires are often a problem for me too! Great shot, although I would hate to live in a city that requires that level of security.

For a first attempt at a night shot I'd say this is pretty good,the wires aren't that noticeable but if you want to try and remove them most paint programs have a clone tool, it takes a bit of time but it's not difficult.

These days we are required to put service wires underground. Though in the flatlands of FL that may not be feasible. :) Beautiful work wrapping those palms!

Palm lights light the way in this fabulous night shot, Dana. Looks virtually like a fireworks display on top of the trees. I also live in a condominium complex, replete with remote openers and a fascist homeowners association, but much smaller and nothing as elaborate and beautiful as yours.

A super night capture of this lovely view of the nicely decorated palms. We have some of these gated communities in some of our cities and they must give a better sense of security and they make for a great area too.
