Description

I scared the living daylights out of this tree frog because I had left the setting on flash. S/he jumped with a 12 foot drop and I am happy to say that it was a safe landing on a fan palm. I am working on a satellite shot, of my condo complex, to maybe answer some of the site mail questions from last nights posting. That was not the entrance to where we live. It was just the best decorated entrance in our area. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

What an adorably cute little creature! I'm glad s/he landed safely. I like the colors in this shot and the somewhat unusual color of the little frog itself. Really nice.

I watched the Royal Institution Christmas lecture..'Size matters' which was partly about the mass v. surface area relationship. He caught the young audience attention by bringing on a hamster and a poodle and mooting which would survive when dropped from a great height! The demonstration (using jelly crash dummies) clearly showed that that the hamster would bounce but the poodle would smash, which we could of course have guessed...but it was the first time I actually understood why! ...I think! A super pic..I love Alans comment about him going white!

Great shot Dana - he/she looks as snug in a bug in a rug before her impromptu flying act!

Really weird. Looks like someone's trying to lasso the poor guy as it huddles ensconced in that narrow corridor, Dana. It kind of reminds me of the sport of luge. That said, excellent capture of the amphibian.

S/he looks so comfy here too, a shame s/he woke with a start but I'm sure s/he settled easily again. A lovely capture.
