Description
As the weather improved, although not all the snow has melted yet, the New Year seemed to slide gently into place, like an old friend, rather than a new acquaintance. A period of calm descended, as the family made room for another grandson. I wish you the same sense of peace.
The clouds are my own attempt to replicate the clouds before we received 3-4 weeks of snow. The terrain surface tries to give the impression of the much later, springtime flowering of the gnarly whin / gorse bushes so beloved of my family. The right hand point reminds me of some of the headlands in Northern Ireland, in particular in the magical Glens of Antrim. This render in Terragen uses Corleonis' latest freebie Pack 4. Thanks ;o)
Wishing all viewers a 'Guid New Year, 'n mony o' them'. May your eyes be filled with wonders this year, and may you experience peace within.
Warm regards, John.

Cool picture. Is there a waterfall directly ahead? :)

Hi, my friend. As for the waterfall, I hope not, I've lost my paddle, and this ramshackle raft is settling quite a bit ... ;o) The terrain, for TERRAGEN 0.9, is available in the Free Stuff tab, from Coreleonis. The water uses some of the WaterWorks plugin settings ( links available from the Planetside site ). The POV is only about 2-3m 7'-10' off the water meaning that the horizon is quite close. The POV is about 1250m up, so quite conceivably there could be a big drop off ... Aaaaggghhh!!! John.

Wishing you a good new year, too! Lovely cloud and soft light, and I like the terrain. A small suggestion. You could add a bit of haze or change the point of view a bit to avoid what looks to be a dropping off the world point where sea meets sky.
