Description

During the struggle for Dalriatan independence, the Princess Elie, only daughter of the King of the Isles, and as time would tell, pregnant by her slain husband, was pursued by Butcher's troops. She outwitted them, evading them dressed, and acting as the manservant to a travelling, alcoholic dictionary writer, Poiteairhe MacFocall, as he wended his way ever westwards from island to island. When Butcher's Hounds, His Majesty's First Dragoons, in their black uniforms, all mounted on black horses, rode too late onto the strand at Traigh Mhor, on the last isle, Oir-Thir / Edge of the Land, it was only to see the Franklyn ship making its way through the heavy swell, bearing their prey away, across the vast ocean to the land of the Blackstane, in far off Nova Alba. Long would the invaders sleep uneasy, waiting for the now certain return of Alban troops ready to avenge and liberate their oppressed Dalriatan cousins. Iain Hope's Tales o' a Graunfaither, Edwinsburgh Free Press. Another episode in the Dalriatan story, long remembered by folk of glen ans isles. Rendered in Vue 9 Complete, using items from the COrnucopia 3D store. This took my poor GPU a fair time to process so it will have to do at the moment. Consider it a work in progress. Wishing all my viewers a better start to the year than it has been so far. I was reminded quite recently, though, of something unlooked for and wonderful that took place nearly forty years ago, so the bad weather, and other circumstances have less hold over me now. May God bless and guard you all, John.
