Description

I saw these pots in the garden center a while ago and was so fond of the surfaces of them. I took somc closeups and this shot. I am running out of fresh photos :-/ ___________________________________ Have a beautiful day. ! We had drifting snow tonight so now we are back to where we started and have difficulties to get out of here. :-( ___________________________________ Thank you so much for viewing and commenting on my previous post and special warm thanks go to those, who added it to their favorites. :)

Fascinating to see that these are on sale. That surface is normally caused by a mistake in the glaze recipe or a fault in the firing cycle, and would be rejected because it's possible to cut yourself on it! But if folk will buy them that's good..no waste!

Funny that, what would have been rejected makes for a wonderful photograph with excellent lighting and textures. Take care on these snowy days (hibernate like any sensible animal)

WOW! Those pots all have faces like the moon, full of craters and ridges, mountains and valleys. I think I will call these Moon Pots...the name fits for me. And I like them a LOT! Did you buy any? I would not have been able to resist buying at least two of them...so that they could keep each other company. This is such an amazing shot. I really like the color too. I cannot decide if they are black or gray, or some kind of strange, dark brown. Maybe all of those colors combined! What a shot. You have such a great eye for textures and for shapes. And I seem to remember ancient pots you photographed as well...these are like their little cousins. They have that ancient look, and I really like that. This is super stuff! Really perfect work!
