My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

My first thought was 'They went thataway.' Nice capture, great colors and textures.

Wonderfully well seen and great textures in this shot. Here is something to try to get your head round:- It is impossible to bend something straight!! You can straighten something but you cannot bend it straight! Silly isn't it!!!!

Perfect composition, and wonderfully warm colours!
GARAGELAND
Great lighting on this.

Wonder if this came from Home Depot? I'll bet this bolt has been around for a hundred years. Who put it here? Some logger? All of that is speculation. But I can say for a fact that this is one fine photograph. A unique subject done in your personal, artistic style! It all begins with the eye. Nice...

You are the master... uh, mistress... of texture. Well spotted!

Bent, like in a rusty bolt, and not Bent, like in a Bent-ley automobile. Splendid clarity, colors and textures in this capture.

I usually feel like that after a day (or night) on my job. Wonderful leading lines in this - leads the eye right to the rusty old bolt. Excellent eye, Tara!

It looks like a perescope. I like it. The light is fantastic and the colors really pop. I love seeing bent, rusty things that other people would walk by and not notice. A friend of mine once said that seeing art teaches you how to see life, because seeing art teaches you how to see free stuff. There's plenty of free stuff in life, most of it is like this. You just have to look for it and be aware that it's worth something. Like this shot. This is one of those one in a million shots that anyone could have taken, but didn't. Needless that's why I love it. Fantastic stuff here.
