I'm not sure what all to say about myself, I live in Ann Arbor, Michigan (USA) and work as a graphic designer/computer technician for a print shop. I have a BS in Historic Preservation, but wasn't willing to go on for a Master's Degree, nor was I interested in teaching, so I found another career. I discovered Bryce way back when version 1 came out, but I didn't really get serious about the program, or 3D art in general, until a few years ago. When I'm not in front of the computer, I'm either making costumes or wearing them to a renaissance festival, or building a new rock-sculpture, or possibly wandering with a camera.
When I'm not making something, odds are I'm reading from my far too wide range of interests: Astronomy, Cosmology, Physics, Archeology, Anthropology, History, Current Events, NASA (of course) and anything else that happens to catch my attention. It's really hard to find enough time to do all of the things I want to be doing! What drew me to Renderosity is the many excellent artists who continue to inspire me to push myself as an artist. More recently I've added a selection of stuff to another online gallery location:http://nefariousdro.deviantart.com/ÂÂ

Nice organic look to the ship design.

Excellent looking alien vehicles and textures! And the background too, of course. (There is a little jaggedness on the edge of the spaceships -- differing resolutions between the Bryce images, masks and background perhaps?)

Like the texture. It seems a bit more "alienish."

Has a look of the Romulan mining ship from the last Star Trek movie, brilliant Bryce!

Another superb ship from the master! It does vagely remind me of Babylon 5. You do such a fantastic job on those textures. I just got Bryce 7.1 on sale at DAZ, so now I'm trying to learn about it as well as continuing to experiment with Poser. Got the texturing pretty well figured out in Poser, now I've gotta work on Bryce. So much software, so little time... ;-) Excellent artwork as always!

The xenologist in me is looking at this image and thinking: Hmmm...I wonder what the configuration of these ships has to say about the sense of body awareness their builders have. I'd be very interested in seeing the strange, spiky contraptions they'd likely call chairs. And that's what I love aout your ship designs. Your human ships are all built according to the demands of the human body in non-terrestrial, and often interstellar environments. They are superb examples of form following function, and they always have just enough fiction in them render the science fun in the way that science fiction IS so much fun. And then you come up with these puppies: something of a cross between beetles and flowers...or maybe beetles pretending to be flowers. The designs strike me as logical and distinctly non human, and yet even non humans require propulsion systems, living space, and equipment intended to do things. All of that is here, and it's all marvelous. I love your space art and I'm glad to see more of it so early in the new year. Hopefully things are going good, or at least getting better.
