Description

This image is for Mike (FaeMike) - happy birthday my friend and thank you so much for your long support of my works. Mike was one of the first people to "discover" me here and he has commented on virtually every image I have done. He is a great friend and a rock of this community. I know Mike loves the magical and the mystical so this one is for him. Wish Mike well on his special day. Hugz. Anna had found her spot. Snuggled up tight into the base of an old tree, her back protected, she rooted herself onto the rotting rock floor of the old temple. With her body secure she could begin. With her circle cast, and a candle lit, she slipped into her trance. Soon the dreams would come. Millicent, with a cat's keen sense of boundaries curled up to doze just outside the circle Anna had cast. With her there, nothing in this world would intrude on Anna's space. George, showing uncommonly good sense, decided this was a good time to be a good boy and cuddled up with Millicent. The big cat smiled to herself as the little reptile promptly fell asleep against her head, gently snoring in her ear. This was good, she thought, as she wrapped herself a bit tighter round George; as long as she kept him with her he would not be inadvertently barging into Anna's circle. For her part Ingrid took up her position on the shattered remains of a marble column. She chose to face in the opposite direction from Millicent, keeping a half awake watch on Anna and over anything that may come flying in from the mountain valley that fell away from the temple edge where they were all perched. With everyone in their place Anna could take her leave of the world and enter the trance dream state. Focusing on the flame, she let go and made her call to the ancestors. Your light is exquisite, Roxy! The point on the candle shining from her face, the inverse is wonderous, so magical! I love the colors, the white blue of cats fur, your colors are so saturated here, so beautiful. Amazing posing, cute with George and Milli curled up. I like the meditative pose for Anna, just wonderful work all around!

wow your words paint as much an image as your render!! Letting go is always such work sometimes.. yet so worth it with everything we do! Seems the less you force control.. the more things bend to you.. sometimes I need to remember that one as well..

Truly a beautiful work of art for Mike's birthday, and truly spoken words as well! Mike is one of my long time friends here as well, and one of the most warm and good-hearted folks I know. It's a pleasure to call him 'friend.' And yet another delightful chapter in Anna's saga. Perfect art to go with the story - really sets the scene! And now, I'm going to join Anna (figuratively speaking, of course). It's been a long, exhausting day, and I'm going to bed! :-D

More of the bold strong colors we come to love, and the story moves on! Millicent looks fantastic in this image she is no bigger than before it is the perspective. Also I like the red sky and the light from the candle! But we are no better off than before about knowing 'what is a vision quest?'!

Very nice dedi for Mike, Roxy. I think we all wish him a happy one. Love the lighting and posing in this image, as usual. The saturated colors work really well in this context, making the whole image warm and magical. Nice touch to use the candle as a meditation focus for her "Vision Quest". That's what I was taught, and I always found that it works beautifully. Having her familiars guarding her during this period of vulnerability is also a very nice touch. I am loving how you are mixing cultures in your story. Bravo!
