Description

IT'S COLD !!!!! It was indeed cold and the water was icy. It amazes me how the animals seem unaffected by the elements, I was freezing! This shot is just before the eagle snagged it's fish. I spent hours watching them... and I wanta go back! Thanks to all of you for stoppin' by! Manning

Wonderful action shot. If you shot this in raw you could probably fix the overexposed white head . Also the image could use a few degrees ccw rotation. Well done!

Wow, monjo71, thank you so much for your critique! Too late for me to do much about the overexposure but after looking over this and other photos of the same shoot I realize that many of them can use some rotation :( I believe now that in trying to follow the eagles through the lens that I became disoriented. Dang, now there's another thing that'll be going through my brain, LOL!

I'm not so sure about that rotation. The water lines can be anywhere but the bird will be vertical and his head indicates just that. The eagle will hold its head vertical at all times, though the body is often not vertical. Perhaps the photo was cropped and something else may confirm true vertical. Nice shot by the way!
