My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

It makes me a bit sad to see what has happened to these beautiful birds. I remember standing in St Marks Square in Venice and being nearly deafened by one going over, and seeing them all in a line at Bahrain and London. This is the closest I got as I never got to ride on one.

A wonderful POV. Very well done

I didn't remember British Airways had the concord. I thought only the Russians and the French did. Is the little something the bullseye?

Great shot and dedi! My ex-mum-in-law rode one of these once. I think I'd have to be under general anesthesia to board!

Hey, what's that roundel doing up there? Having seen the original, your postwork has once again gotten rid of the rather cluttered background and caused your fascinating subject to step forward:*

Say, if I'm not mistaken, that is the underside of the now defunct and discontinued Concorde supersonic commercial transport aircraft. Kinda looks like a manta ray from this angle. That said, a fine choice of conveyance in this cool birthday dedication to our debbielove.

love the light and the sky warm hugs, Linda Kaye

I knew what it was, but dang, this POV just ROCKS--a great gift for Rob for sure!!

Don't you just love a little something extra! I certainly do. This is an amazing shot! It reminds me of one of those "beauty passes" the USS ENTERPRISE makes just before running into V'ger or Khan, or some really miffed Klingons later in the movie. The cinematic Klingons were always miffed. That being said, this is a gorgeous shot, worthy of a Jerry Goldsmith score--preferably the haunting, melodic, and truly alien music he did for Star Trek: The Motion Picture the first and woefully-underrated cinematic incarnation of the franchise. Okay, plot wise it was a bit anemic, but WOW!!! The first "beauty shot" of the Enterprise still gets to me...like this shot does. What a delight! And yeah, the little something is just perfect! I love dedications like this, they're so much fun. Happy belated birthday to Rob.

I loved that beautiful Concords. I remember the first flights in 1976.

I remember standing about 500 metres away from the runway in Cape Town when one landed - sight and sound! I must dig out those pics sometime! Clive
