Description

Triangles are known for their stiffness. The Rotterdam Erasmus bridge is richly provided giving a special aspect to the skyline. The gull shows it's own. Rotterdam is always 'under construction'. A dozen of cranes show the activity.

You hit "paydirt" with the gull!!! Question:.? how did you manage to train the bird to fly into a perfect position so you could take an AMAZING photo????

I find this image very interesting in more then one respect.  I appreciate the clarity  and composition of it..To the human mind symmetry and geometric shapes is a very special concept, and the triangle is an incredibly strong shape. I haven't  see a bridge without a triangles,  but it never actually triggered my curiosity to count them.   I am familiar with the formula for counting triangles….. but even more interesting is the challenge you took to photograph them with such great perfection.

How lucky you were to have the gull included in the frame. Pythagoras and Pascal would be in their elements here!
