Description
Back in the late 1980's I was between jobs so an electrical contractor friend of mine took me on for a few weeks. He had a contract to renew the wiring to the overhead cranes in the Concorde hangar at Heathrow Airport. How lucky was I???? We got to know the engineers very well and they would let us have access to all seven aircraft as and when they returned from their flights.
Here the third pic shows a shot taken from the flight deck of a Concorde looking out to another on the hangar apron. (You can just see the nose of the engineer).
The other shots speak for themselves and were all taken on a pocket camera.

Money couldn't buy this experience today. Four neat shots. We got to walk through and around the BOAC Concorde now permanently in the outside yard at the Boeing Museum of Flight in south Seattle. Quite fine views.

I met one of only 2 pilots for Braniff that flew Concords.in a local air museum there is a high performance bi-plane that he hand built and won so many competitions.sadly he passed away at 88 years old maybe 2 years ago.I never got to see one fly so seeing these are special . you were very fortunate
