Description
The previous post would be the south side of all these teepees. Today's post is of the west side, as one can see at the base of the teepees is a large dry wash being eroded away by millennia's of run off. The Turtle shell or gum drop looking shape in the center of the dry wash, just before the precipice, was the original eye catcher for this image. Noting how some of the hues in the sandstone range towards the purple /violet spectrum, which is not a common site and worth the full view, I thought it worth sharing.

I could look at this all day. Marvelous detail and color! I love all the ripples and the way they seem to move across the stone. It's easy to imagine them moving slowly like lava across the landscape. Wonderful textures and variations of the shapes and patterns of the lines. Beautiful place and capture.
