Description

This is a combination of two images. The bridge is an old pack horse bridge in Lancashire. It connects the tiny village of Wycoller to the remains of a large house just across the stream called Wycoller Hall. The bridge is called Sally's Bridge and was named after Sally Owen, mother of the last squire of Wycoller Hall, Henry Owen Cunliffe. The bridge is also interesting in as much that Charlotte Bronte often visited the area on her long walks across the moors and in fact the hall that is a little further along the track is thought to be were she based Ferndean Manor in the novel Jane Eyre The cottage is an old Smithy in Northumberland dating from the 18th century. I was quite fascinated by the horse shoe frame around the door way.

It's like a dream come true. It looks like a place I have never envisioned, but dreamed of ten-thousand times. It's wonderous! Brilliantly done.

This is such a fascinating cottage and an equally impressive bridge. I really love how you put them together, until I read, I couldn't tell it wasn't one photo. Marvelously done. I'm so impressed by your work.

i love how bright and vibrant the colors of the grass and the stream are. the merging of photos seems to make the camera angle morph. combined with the whimsical architecture of the cottage, it feels just slightly unreal. i love the effect.
