(Jan. 2008) Hello everyone and thanks for visiting my page. My name is Tom, and I've been interested in art and sketch drawing as a hobby for as long as I can remember, although never very seriously. In mid 2007 I started using Poser 6 and Photoshop Elements, and have been 'hooked' on '3D' art ever since. I'm still learning to use various 3D modeling programs to try and develop some digital art skills. I enjoy getting feedback from other artists on what to work on and how to improve.
(Feb. 2009) The submarine I've attempted to animate is from an old TV show in the 1960s called 'Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea'. Although the show was kind of cheesy, I remember watching it after school along with old episodes of Star Trek.

Good light and scene. Well done.

Strange. I've no idea why the bloke's saber looks yellow but it's interesting that the light being cast by it is still red. I'd ask in the forum. I'm sure one of the gurus will be able to explain it. :)

I can't think of a logical reason why it should change colors like that, and to yellow no less. Either way nice glow effects.
renecyberdoc
excellent work on the sabres.5++.
odile
Nice effects with these sabres.
magnus073

Cool work!!!

That prop doesn't work in DS so I curious how it looked when finished. I've had to do my sabers in Gimp. (If you want to see what the Gimp method looks like, look here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2149525&user_id=654713&np&np )

For some reasons the expressions amuse me--it's a good render even as an experiment!

Nice scene and lighting!!

Odd thing about Light Saber's, you really have to be a Jedi Master to understand all their secrets and the Zen of Poser...LOL ! Neat effects and sorry I can't help with this one ! Well done & ~Cheers~
daggerwilldo
Nice work. Not sure why the sabers are misbehaving. The good news is they are far enough along that a good dosing in post can make them very glowable. Well done.
moochagoo
Nice work on this.

Excellent image my friend, gorgeous scene!

Baddies get red ones. Not seen any yellow ones before.

I can't help you on it, Tom, I'm strictly a DS user... and it has it's own problems with "glows", especially those made for Poser oddly enough... lol. Guy doesn't look evil enough to have a red one anyway. Not that I know what the colors go to as far as Masters and their weapons... :D
RoguePilot
Nice experiment. On the red lightsaber, my guess is you have a green colour on the translucency in addition to the red on the ambient, this would tend to push the colour towards a dirty yellow. I think in Poser you have to switch to the advanced tab in the material room to see this.
delaorden_ojeda
great scene and lighting , fantastic atmosfere !
rogue29730
Amazing scene with a great lighting !!!
PhilW
Great characters - but you may need to add a postwork glow to really get the blades looking the business?!
Faery_Light
nice work.
adorety
Nice scene and lighting, overall. That is odd that it would change it to another primary color but cast red light. Are there gel settings. Vue lights seem so much easier, still practicing in Poser.

Ahhhh Lonestar...I see your swartz is as big as mine...Sorry..every time I see a light sabre I think of Spaceballs ..Sorry no idea why they would change like that Tom..Cool Scene Though regardless..(smile)
