Last year I started my third period of photography after fifteen years silence.I began in the analog eighties and took primarily slides with my Pentax MX until it broke. Then, in the early nineties, I started digital photography with a very simple Logitech Fotoman. It was easy to operate because the camera didn't have any features except a flash! The surprise came ofcourse when I first downloaded pictures on my computer. The ease of working digitally convinced me. Still, after a few years, my interest declined.Until last year when I took a chance to work with a compactcamera, seeing other peoples work. In the end I bought a new camera myself. Eversince I can't imagine living without a camera.

SUPERLATIVE SHOT

A departure from landscape perhaps, but no less attractive:) This photograph is very nice - a combination of beauty in nature and your ability to depict it so wonderfully well. Most delicate and rare flower of beauty, the bud for enduring hope. The gradation of colours in the petals is superb. The presence of green leaves in the background adds a special touch to this appealing presentation. Interesting DOF indeed. The blooming in summer always follows winter hibernation. Your capture can keep our attentions alive while we patiently await their welcome. Thank you, Onno for sharing this wonderful ray of hope. A fine image of an exceptional blossom!

Very good marco! Delicate colors, looks very fragile. Honesty, I never even heard of this flower, but I'll look for it now!
