Description

IN THE WORLD What can a 15 year old girl, arriving in the square, if not daydreaming. Cartier, Dior, Chanel, Vuiton, Valentino are among the trademarks displayed in these stores, a concentration of women's dreams incredible! The square in question is the famous Place Vendôme, where among other things is the Hotel Ritz, who was elected in 1998 (centenary of the opening) BEST HOTEL IN THE WORLD The facade was designed by Jules Hardouin Mansart. César Ritz turned it into a luxury hotel, and opened on 1 June 1898. Thanks also to the culinary talents of minority partner Auguste Escoffier, César Ritz made the hotel synonymous with opulence, service and fine food. "Espadon" is the name of the restaurant where you can enjoy the tastes of "nouvelle cuisine". Harp and violin, the instruments played every evening to entertain guests during dinner. The Ritz is composed of Vendome and Cambon buildings with rooms on the Vendôme square and on the other side, rooms overlooking the famous garden. The hotel became a must for some of the richest people in the world, so that the suites are named after the distinguished guests who occupy them in the past. Among them Ernest Hemingway, who gave his name to a hotel bar, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, Marcel Proust, King Edward VII of the United Kingdom, Rudolph Valentino, Charlie Chaplin, Greta Garbo. The fashion designer Coco Chanel made the Ritz her home for more than thirty years. In 1979, the family sold the Ritz hotel in the Egyptian tycoon Mohamed Al-Fayed, who restored it in 1988 and added the school of French cuisine Ritz-Escoffier. It was the hotel that his son Dodi Al-Fayed and his companion, Diana Spencer, left for the trip that ended with their death in the Pont de l'Alma tunnel in August 31, 1997. Since that day, the Ritz hotel is popular with tourists and curious people who, every day, the Place Vendome, guests try to recognize in that reach and leave the "palace" people more or less known. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Place_Vend%C3%B4me Good night and good week Thanks for the comments and the favourites of previous image
