Description

Great Spotted Woodpecker (female) Buntspecht (weiblich) Today nearly no songbirds were in my garden. Because it was a dangerous guest here: a Sparrowhawk! He has a bird caught and eaten immediately. Unfortunately was it too far away, in order to make a good photo (If you want to see him, I show it naturally!) Heute waren fast keine Singvögel in meinem Garten. ....many thanks for the nice remarks and favorites on my previous photos! ***************PLEASE OPEN THE FULL-SIZED IMAGE WINDOW***************

WOW! What a fun and so lovely capture. You really did great. Yes thanks we like to see what you got our of the sparroe hawk... We have such one here too and suddently NO life in the garden. Either all the birds freeze like statues in the Hawthorn where I feed them, or they fly away. The sparrow hawk cannot catch them in this Hawthorn. Too spiky.
