My name is Ursula and I live in the southeast of Bavaria (Germany) together with my husband and our little White West Highland Terrier called 'Ruebe'.Â
I am born in nineteenhundredfourtyseven. Â
Â
Reading, art, gardening, collecting stones, my house and taking photos are my passion. Certainly I have forgotten something....
Â
I love nature and above all the "invisibles" which become visible only by Macro photography. Very briefly, I am curious! And I also always like to know what I have taken a photo of.
Â
I am  very grateful to my son Adrian  (  January Gallery of the Month 2009   - Chaos 911 )      that he left me his 'old' camera. Moreover, you owe it to him that you can see here my pictures. He has encouraged to me to join RR.
Â
A lot of fun while looking at my "small world"!
Â
Â
If not differently mentions, are all photos from my garden.....

Could be a hawk or a falcon, we don't have any over here with those feather markings so I can't tell. Well, not in my pocket guide anyway. Superb capture! And thanks for showing us. :)

He doesn't look too pleased to be caught out in the act! Lovely shot!

To me Ursula this definitely a sparrow hawk - the patches of white on top of the wings is unusual but could be reflected light. Raptors catch birds to survive, cats for fun!!

A beauty.

I agree with jayfar. A sparrow hawk for me too. Excellent photo.

Nice shot Ursula this maybe a more rare raptor than the sparrow hawk the wings are suggestive of the Honey Buzzard

But Ursula, it is a gorgeous shot. I say same as Andrea. I should be happy if I made that shot.
