V is for Viola for Tallpockets, Brian Harry (goodoleboy) you were the only one out of all the answers I got below to come up with the answer, but well.... you got one before so I choose Brian for this one, Brian thanks for the note, I am fine, just life getting in the way of things here and there, and not feeling at my best, so thanks for the motivation to get back at it.. I messed with this one in Photo shop and had a bit of fun with it. It is my daughters Viola she has been playing since the first grade and in March she is going with her school's orchestra to perform at Carnegie Hall, in New York city, it is a huge honor for them to be chosen for this and as you can imagine they are thrilled and I am a very proud mom. hopefully I will get to tag along. :) Hope all is well with you all. By the way quite a few of you came up with Volunteers for Tennessee Volunteers I was very impressed with that and it would have been a great one. It is the nickname for Tennessee and also the name for their football and basket ball teams. Tennessee is known as the "Volunteer State", a nickname earned during the War of 1812 because of the prominent role played by volunteer soldiers from Tennessee, especially during the Battle of New Orleans. Excellent image What an honor for your daughter Wow...I am so very glad for her sis and impressed I know you are too........ I think I guessed viola too or rather violet maybe both... Snowing like a big dog here in Greensburg started at 1pm and it's now 5:22 & still going strong...and temps plummeting down to _7 below tonight and more snow Mon 1 -3 more inches...I am so ready for spring.......to see tulip and daffodils any sign of green LOL...............so tired of this dark,dreary,depressing gray and snow........loved snow until this yr...just saw too much of it LOL.... Okay now for the letter W........ wind,wildflower,wallpaper, wisteria,wine,wager,walnut, wand,weak,weary, wait,waiter,winter,wish,wash,washcloth,washbucket,washing machine,watching mother nature(LOL) wistful,weave,wedding,wed,wedding ring,wedding ring quilt,well behaved, well being,wild wild west, wild mustang horses,western,whiplash,whisper,wisp,weeping willow,witch,wiccan,wild,weather,witness,woman,withdrawl,wolf,werewolf,worry, worn,wiggle,whirpool and lastly whiporwill.........whew..........!!!!!!!!:):) I think that there is enough and my chicken is calling for me to take it out of the oven:) Are you getting the same snow system we are.........if ya are feel for ya... I know, you're making a list and checking it twice. Cool spectrum of colors, postworked text, and dark mood violas in this fine image, Lynell. Sorry about your physical woes. But, alas, why do I even bother typing out every word that I can think of when it comes to these alphabet quizzes, and then not getting full acclaim when I do get one right? Lot's of time and thought goes into this. Hence, as for the letter W: What's the use, where did I go wrong, why bother, who are these other guys, when will I hit the jackpot.
