Description

V is for Viola for Tallpockets, Brian Harry (goodoleboy) you were the only one out of all the answers I got below to come up with the answer, but well.... you got one before so I choose Brian for this one, Brian thanks for the note, I am fine, just life getting in the way of things here and there, and not feeling at my best, so thanks for the motivation to get back at it.. I messed with this one in Photo shop and had a bit of fun with it. It is my daughters Viola she has been playing since the first grade and in March she is going with her school's orchestra to perform at Carnegie Hall, in New York city, it is a huge honor for them to be chosen for this and as you can imagine they are thrilled and I am a very proud mom. hopefully I will get to tag along. :) Hope all is well with you all. By the way quite a few of you came up with Volunteers for Tennessee Volunteers I was very impressed with that and it would have been a great one. It is the nickname for Tennessee and also the name for their football and basket ball teams. Tennessee is known as the "Volunteer State", a nickname earned during the War of 1812 because of the prominent role played by volunteer soldiers from Tennessee, especially during the Battle of New Orleans. V is for: Valentine, velocity, venture, Vegas, villa- -vigilant-virus, Venice, velvet, Velcro, vinegar, volunteer, vixen, victory, vacuous, vacuum, vitality, virtually, veritable, vivacious, viper, vixen, velvet, vanity, vocal, vituperate, vise, vice, virtual, Visigoth, Vishnu, visionary, vitriol, vein, violin, viola, virus, , violent, vista, very funny, virago, vast, vase, Vaseline, viewfinder, vest, vesicle, vestibule, vestiary, vibrator, vertigo, vertiginous, venom, ventricular, vegetable, veggies, veil, Venetian blind, view, vinegar, virgin, vestal virgin, vault, vane, vain, vanilla, vanishing point, vapor, valet, Valentine, vacancy, vacillate, vaccine, vacation, vaccination, vagabond, valedictorian, vagina, vainglorious, valence, Vancouver, Valhalla, valise, value, value judgment, valor, verve, varmint, vasectomy, vulva, Venus, vermiform, vermillion, verse, veteran, vesper, village, villa, villain, vignette, Viking, vineyard, visage, Virginia Reel, Virginia Ham, vituperation, volt, voltmeter, volume, voluminous, volunteer, voodoo, vertical, votary, vote, vow, vouch, vouchsafe, votive candle, vowel, voting machine, voyeur, vulture, vulpine, voucher, vouchsafe, vulgar, vessel, van, vibrant, violets, volcano, Vatican, Vivacious, Variety ,Variegated, Vindictive, Valium vice, velocity, vacancy, vagrant, vampire, vagabond, vinegar, vanish, vast, vista, valley, void, verbal, verbena, virtue, virgin, vine, view, visitor, visor, villanelle, vacation, vogue, valuable, victorious, vanquish, varnish, verify, violet, vision, valentine, vineyard, vichyssoise, vapid, Valley Forge, and vulture. any guesses for W... some of you have still not made a guess, and I know who you are.. :)

TCG: HELLO & MUCH THANKS for this honor! You always hit the right NOTES with this old man and MOST others. GOOD is GOOD. "Ye shall know a tree by it's fruit". Methinks your daughter will do very well in this crazy world of ours having a MOM like you as an example. OK .... TallPocket's ONE and ONLY 'guess' for this 'alphabet' series: "W" is for "WABBIT" (as in ELMER FUDD, That TWICKY WABBIT! (T.P. is a KID at heart and LUVS the old CARTOONS). SMILES.

I am also one to congratulate you and your daughter Erin's on being selected to play at Carnegie Hall - WOW - that is some achievement, no wonder you are smiling from ear to ear :), I would also be proud as punch ... So, if you go (of course you will!) don't forget the camera and present us with the evidence - looking forward to that celebration, take care, Lynell BB

There is an old riddle that goes "How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, practice, practice." I guess it paid off. Congratulations to Erin. This is way cool. Very colorful. I have no idea for W. See what you can do with 'What's Up?'
