Description

Great Spotted Woodpecker (female) Buntspecht (weiblich) Today nearly no songbirds were in my garden. Because it was a dangerous guest here: a Sparrowhawk! He has a bird caught and eaten immediately. Unfortunately was it too far away, in order to make a good photo (If you want to see him, I show it naturally!) Heute waren fast keine Singvögel in meinem Garten. Denn es war ein gefährlicher Gast hier: ein Sperber! Er hat einen Vogel gefangen und sofort aufgegessen. WOW! This is incredibly beautiful. And funny! A woodpecker acrobat! Such a beautiful bird. It looks a bit small. In Chicago we have woodpeckers also, but not this specific sort. Not that I know of, at least. They're wonderful birds! This is super!
