Description

This posting took a long time getting completed--more than a year--mostly due to a computer crash that made a lot of my older files disappear. Took a while to find an recover some of them. Started out with a landscape picture of a Celtic fortification on top of a hill overlooking a valley with a small village in it. Used Brigette's "Celtic Fort" (ShareCG) for the fort and Bjorn Lindholm's medieval house models (although they are hardly Celtic in design). The ripening fields of grain are by Traveler and Judith Ward aka modualz (RDNA). The terrain is probably by Karen Verba, although I'm no longer sure whether she created it or I made it. Ecosystem created using Vue6's plants. Enemy arrows are by Kehan, but the figure's costume, bow, and arrows are "Celtic Archer" by Umblefugly and Bobbie25 (DAZ). Fire and smoke by Mark Lawson "Monsoon Fire" (Cornucopia). The archer figure is DAZ's Victoria 3, using Nikita Creed's wonderful "Warrioress" morphs and textures (RDNA)and ali's "Hr_032" (Renderosity). If I have a disappointment in this render, it is that so many features of Nikita's texturing, such as body scars and a blind right eye are washed out by the lighting. So I'm going to post a closeup portrait to show those details. Anyway, thanks for stopping by for a peek. Also want to say how much I appreciate all your comments and encouragements on past postings. On a personal note, still have about four inches of snow on the ground and they say there will be more coming by the end of the weekend. I guess it's a good thing that I truly love to look out over a snowy scene. However, as I get older and more crippled, I can't say that I love getting out into it too much! My JRT, Julie loves to romp in it for a few minutes until her feet get cold. She isn't too thrilled about plunking her butt into the snow to do her business either. Heh! Guess I've rambled enough, Jeremy CREDITS: See above.

Nicely done, I like that added touch of the arrows stuck to the structure around her. The flames on the burning houses look great.

Well worth the effort, a great scene, and interesting to read the process involved. 'Julie' may not like 'plunking her butt'....it could be worse....it could be YOU :-) Take care & keep warm....

I truely hope the elf can fend off the aggressor, Jeremy, and glad you found at least some of the old scenes again. I do love looking out on snow too, and our dog we had as a child, a boxer named Umbo, loved snow too, he even was rolling in it and having fun just running around :)

Glad you were able to recover some of it, and finish the rest of it anew. I've had a few scenes like that, for some unknown reason got trashed by Carrara when saving, resulting in losing the entire file (unreadable, unloadable). Its a very beautiful put-together scene, despite the village being on fire, and the tower under assault by arrows. Hope she's wearing Leather Armor +5 with resist piercing magical enhancements ;) (little D&D rp humor there)
