Description

Deep in a forest, deep in thought, and ever so deeply in love. It is the familiar story of star-crossed lovers...they come from different tribes...sworn enemies for ages. It was pure accident (or was it fate) that they were both driven to seek out the sacred rock that sentinels the boundary between their tribes. It is a highly magical and mysterious place that few are brave enough to approach, and thus serves a fitting barrier between the enemies. Ever since they found each other there months ago, they have been secretly returning, casting aside fears of deep magic, growing in their attraction and love for each other...despite the impossibility of their union. On this day, the hopelessness of their situation weighs heavy upon them as they part. She turns to go, and he gently restrains her for one last moment together. She covers his hand with hers, and without turning back, reaches for one last touch...knowing that no matter how dearly she wants to stay, and how desperately he wants her to, they must go. Deep in thought and emotion they are frozen in this moment, wondering if the gods will send them a sign that they will somehow achieve the happiness together they long for.... An enjoyable craft-vision for the eyes, Marco. You have created an impression of a book cover, which would be a suitable venue for this scene and its underlying story. Star-crossed lovers under threatening fates are found in the most ancient of humanity's stories .. surely they will still be among our tales when the final ones are told in ages to come. You have a thing for History, haven't you, Marco. I have a book " The reindeer moon" that you would like. It's set 15000 ago, and it talks about exogamy, the way tribes exchanged females and how it might have been difficult to find one's place in a new tribe, etc.... written by an archeologist. I like your picture, background and set are great . And the brown rich tone is attractive. The touch of blue enhances the scene. Cheers Odile
