Description
An image from the gutter of a scrap of green among condos caught my eyes. Under the poetic surface of the reflections of the bare tree and the pretty sky lay rotten leaves and a dead packet of Malboro. This poor gutter poem is mine.
Gutter is at which two pages come together in a two-page spread
Gutter is the blank space between facing pages.
Gutter is the space between the panels of a comic strip or comic book page
Gutter, in interface design, are the blank spaces that separate rows and columns in screen.
A channel running along the kerb or the centre of a road to collect and carry away rainwater
A trench running beside a canal lined with clay puddle
Either of the two channels running parallel to a tenpin bowling lane
The space left between stamps on a sheet in order to separate them
A dangerous deep channel formed by currents and waves
A trough along the edge of the eaves of a building to carry off rainwater.
A shallow trench provided beside a canal, bordering a highway, or elsewhere, for surface drainage.
A groove along the periphery of a die impression to allow for excess flash during forging.
A drainage trench cut along the side of a mine shaft to conduct the water back into a lodge or sump.
Why do you tell so many dirty jokes? You always have your mind in the gutter.
You had better straighten out your life, or you'll end in the gutter.
We are all in the gutter, Oscar Wilde said once , but some of us are looking at the stars.
The origins of Gutter Poetry and Rhyming slang are, to a degree, largely unknown. However, hearsay indicates that its roots are in the Paris of the late eighteenth century. During the period 1790 to 1870 it is believed that an unlikely alliance of writers, beggars, tramps, thieves, cranks and the destitute was formed, later to be labelled the Court of Miracles. Hand-printed on scraps of paper by a network of many small, illegal printing companies, its purpose was deeply political, circulating rumour regarding the bourgeoisie, and was often in code.
Thank you for your kind comments.

Impressive your remarks on the word gutter. I especially enjoyed the story of the Court of Miracles. I shall have to read up on that subject. Beautiful, colourful shot it reminds me of work done by Manet - yes, he was a painter but the colours are what capture my eye here.
