Description

Tarl Bloodhawk, Male Scandian Warrior A principal character from a Hawkmoon campaign, a variant of the RPG Stormbringer, set in the “Tragic Millennium Earth” of Michael Moorcock’s novels. H3-7 – Falcons and Skulls: Syn, Nykira and Tarl had waited till well after dark to venture on to the street and found the house of Mink just where they were told it would be, but they knew the longer they lingered there the greater their chance of being discovered. Then Tarl saw exactly what they were waiting for; four falcon masked warriors staggered down an empty side street, and they quickly moved into their unexpected prey’s path. “Greeting lord Skull,” one of the drunken Falcons addressed Syn, who, wearing Edwar’s gilded skull mask appeared as an officer accompanied by two guards. “Could you direct four comrades at arms to the house of Mink? It’s supposed to be around here somewhere.” Syn motioned for them to follow and turned down a dark alley the Falcons had just passed, but before the drunken warriors could question their fortune at finding so cooperative a guide, the first of them died with Syn’s dagger in his throat. The other three fell nearly as fast, without time to unsheathe their swords or raise an alarm. “I was told as a child that the sewers of Londra were inhabited by monsters created by the sorcerer-scientists,” Tarl told Syn and Nykira as he hefted the heavy iron grate that cover a dank hole in middle of the alley. “For once I hope the tales of Granbretan’s horrors are true.” Then the sound of something big thrashing through the foul water drew all of their eyes into the darkness below. Before dumping the Falcons’ bodies, without three of their masked helms, and their stolen skull masks into the sewers, they had found documents on them that indicated they were new recruits under orders to report to Karlye in two days after a week of training in Londra. “You see,” Tarl regarded Syn and Nykira with a great smile. “The gods smile upon us!” “Yes,’ Nykira mocked the Viking’s faith in divine intervention. “All we have to do is get out of Londra, travel a road choked with Granbretan forces to Deau-Vere, cross a massive bridge under constant guard and make our way through a city that is nothing more than an armed staging ground… all before someone discovers Edwar and Lysabeth, whether they’re dead or alive.”
