Description
sorry for the old image. I had read that octane can now produce alpha renders, so I dusted off and upgraded the software with the latest beta and tried to make it work for me. The foreground seaTraveler in this image is the result. Now I need to learn how to use blender a little bit. If I put in a flat surface and export it, I might be able to get reflections (like from water) and blend that in with the wave images. Anyway, too bad that octane does not yet deal with object instances (pretty much needs a single mesh), but don't let me diss octane, I am a complete rookie at this!!

Great realism on the ship and an excellent start with Octane - best of luck with it and using Blender. Love these sea-scapes and historical ships - great work!

Wonderful scene and work!

TERRIFIC work!! (The only 'octane' T.P. knows about is related to 'gasoline' ratings of quality. The HIGHER the octane rating the BETTER. Used for HIGH PERFORMANCE motors/engines, etc.).

A rookie? I don't think so. This is absolutely stunning, it looks like a masterful, classical piece of marine art. I love it.
